Chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and physical therapists can be your best friends during pregnancy and beyond. Most of these great practitioners have worked on me personally.
Have some emotional shit to work through?
Not just any old counselor will do when it comes to the childbearing year. These are therapists that have been trained specifically to help women and men in the perinatal period, or those that I believe are very effective in their methods.
Breastfeeding can be hard, did you know that finding support doesn’t have to be?
Breastfeeding in our modern world can be a lot more difficult than most realize. You’ll always hear me say that if you build your support network before baby arrives, you’ll have much more information if things get tough.
How do I find support and friendship in my new role as a parent?
There are a lot of formal and informal groups that will help you feel welcome and supported. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find the right one, but when you do, you can make friends for life (for you and your children).
